One of the most-watched juniors in years, T.J. Lanning moves onto the Ski Team for the first time this winter. Two years ago, he was ranked top-5 in his age group in both slalom and super G. At just-turned-18, he'll start the season looking for more Europa Cup experience and some Nor am dominance, hoping to accelerate his move to the World Cup. He concedes scoring World Cup points may be a stretch this winter, but it's still his No. 1 goal; others: winning two events at the World Junior Championships and moving up to the B Team next winter. "Last year a lot of up and down for me. I was sick for about three weeks in the heart of the season, [but] I finally pulled myself together at nationals." Lanning was silver medalist in super G at the U.S. championships just fourth in SL.
